Sagan 2
Sagan 2 is a geometric display typeface with a sense of motion. Originally drawn by Michael Cina in 2014, the design began as a nod to systems and exploration. Its forms are grounded in early geometric type, shaped by a soft sense of nostalgia with a contemporary twist.
Developed alongside the typefaces Atelier and Ramsey, Sagan 2 is part of a loose system of related typefaces, each exploring different tonal directions. Of the three, Sagan 2 is the most expressive. A wide range of stylistic alternates allows for significant variation, shifting from editorial to more graphic depending on use.
The typeface includes over 800 glyphs with full Latin and Cyrillic support. Designed for display settings, Sagan 2 works well in identity systems, posters, titles, and anywhere that character and contrast are needed.
